PADI AWARE Specialist

Be part of the solution, not just a spectator.

Every dive puts you in direct contact with an environment facing enormous challenges, from unsustainable fishing to habitat loss. PADI AWARE Specialist gives you the tools to understand what's really happening and what you can do, every day, to make a difference.

What you'll learn

How PADI AWARE brings together divers and water lovers to protect aquatic environments, the challenges of fishing and sustainability, what's happening to coral reefs and their inhabitants, and your concrete role in protecting aquatic environments.

Course structure

  • Theory: based on the digital manual "AWARE – Our World, Our Water", with a knowledge review together with your instructor.
  • No dives required: this is a non-diving course, open to non-certified participants too.

Usually completed in a single session, in the classroom or online.

Prerequisites

None — open to anyone with an interest in the aquatic world, no certification required.

What's next

The awareness to be a true ocean ambassador, in and out of the water. This certification also counts towards Master Scuba Diver. Part of the proceeds of every AWARE course directly supports the conservation work of the PADI AWARE Foundation.
